I have done well over a 100 roofs and can tell you now, get your information from a different source then this one. So many things that was not covered, no need to say anymore....

First, if you need the guy to tell you to get a hammer then you need to go back to your keyboard and stay away from tools. Second, this wasn't a complete roof project, it was on;y how to install shingles so enough. This was a great example of how to install asphalt shingles in 85% of the country, in the southwest we don't need so much rain or ice protection. I haven't done a roof in a long time and found the basics covered helpful.

I feel this article stoped short of giving all the details nessasary to finish a roofing job. Per example what about the ridge vent and capping it.

I found it useful to have... a HAMMER!
