After our 4th water heater in 14 years, i decided to take a look at tankless water heaters. After doing my own reseacrh and with the help of some knowledgable folks @ houseneeds.com , I made the decision to go tankless. We took advantage of the Federal Tax Credits which was a nice incentive and went with a proven reliable unit. the folks we bought it from were very helpful when it came to all our questions. After the first year of savings, the unit will pay for itself in 4-5 years. They are expected to last for 20-25 years as long as you flush it with a water and vinegar solution, if you have hard water especially.
