There are 3 Adjustments (typical) on a door closer. S Sweep Rate adjustment for long closing swing of door L Latch Rate adjustment for short latch swing of door BC Backcheck Adjustment to slow/limit the door’s max open angle This storm door closer shown here only has ONE adjustment besides summer and winter. The only adjustment here is SWEEP, no Latch adjustment, or back latch. so the storm door will allways slam into the latch.

The door does not open as wide or as easily as we would like. I have tried moving the door bracket closer to the doorframe to the point where the door bangs shut the last few inches of closing. This lets us open the door marginally further. Is there a better way? Is there a different size/type of closer that allows both wider opening and proper closing? The opener I have is made by HSI. Thanks
